Kan Rock Tire Moves into new corporate offices in Holly

Kan Rock Tire has been in business since 1950, but has begun to tread into new territory this year with relocated corporate offices in Holly and the addition of two new divisions.
Its corporate offices officially moved out of Flint and into their new location at 10312 North Holly Rd. on Aug. 1. They will begin warehousing more than 300,000 cubic feet of tires in this 20,000 square foot distribution center in mid-September, according to Kan Rock President and CEO Tim Roche, a native of Holly.
“Historically, we’ve always been a retail/service center,” said Roche. “Now we’re diversifying into wholesale distribution under the name of KR Tire Distributors.”
With nine retail locations in mid-Michigan, Kan Rock Tire is also planning to further expand into other retail markets. Kan Rock Tire currently has locations in Fenton, Bay City, Caro, Clio, Corunna Rd.-Flint, Dort Hwy.-Flint, Pasadena Ave.-Flint, Lapeer and Saginaw, employing about 60 people.
“We are a ‘true’ tire store,” explained Roche, who has been with Kan Rock Tire for 33 years. “We stock and sell everything from a 4-inch lawn mower tire to a 28-inch farm tire. Our ‘bread and butter’ is passenger car and light truck tires, which make up 90 percent of sales. Beyond tires, we also provide auto services like brakes, shocks, struts, alignments, tune-ups, cooling systems and more.”
